Dear colleagues! We are pleased to invite you to take part in the VIII Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Zoological Science of Uzbekistan: Current Problems and Development Prospects,” which will be held on May 14, 2026, at the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conference is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the renowned zoologist and ecologist, academician Tisha Zakhidovich Zakhidov.

The conference’s purpose is to discuss the current problems and development prospects of zoology, the basics of preserving and sustainable use of the animal world, and its protection and monitoring.

The conference proceedings will be prepared and published in electronic format (PDF) and as a conference volume.

Papers for publication will be accepted in Uzbek and Russian. All submitted manuscripts will undergo expert peer review, and based on the review results, selected papers will be recommended for publication.

  1. Fauna of invertebrates, modern condition and ecology;
  2. Biological foundations of parasitism;
  3. Current issues in biodeterioration;
  4. Current problems of ichthyology and hydrobiology;
  5. Current status of vertebrate fauna and issues of sustainable use of its resources
  6. 6. Rare, protected animals in Uzbekistan and issues related to their conservation.

To participate in the conference, please submit the “Form for participation” and conference materials for publication (an article up to 5 pages long, formatted according to Appendices 1 and 2) by April 1st, 2026 (inclusive). The authors were responsible for the novelty level of material submitted to the conference, which had not been previously published. The organizing committee has the right to edit articles, does not accept articles that do not correspond to the scientific direction of the conference, does not meet the requirements for formalization, and is sent late in the deadline.

150,000 UZS for conference participants (each article), 100,000 UZS for young scientists (not older than 35 years), and 50,000 UZS for master’s and base-doctoral students (only if one author) will be paid after receiving a notification that the lecture has been entered into the program.

After the materials submitted for participation in the conference are approved for publication by the organizing committee (a message will be sent to the email address or phone number entered by the author during the registration process), you are asked to contact the secretary of the scientific conference regarding the payment fee.
